ELF GEARELF 4 SAE 90 is a high quality, mild-EP gear lubricant designed for applications
in automotive equipment where API GL-4 performance level is required.

It is particularly suitable for use in automotive manual synchromesh transmission and
transaxles where the manufacturer specifically advises against the use of the API GL-4
lubricants.

Protects ferrous and non-ferrous components against corrosion even in the presence of
moisture

Provides good load carrying capacity and anti-wear properties to resist scoring and
gear tooth wear.

Maintains good oxidation stability and anti-foaming properties to resist oil degradation
and thickening in service for longer oil service life.

Controls smooth shifting in manual transmissions by controlling glazing and coking of
friction surfaces in synchronizing mechanisms.
